Quest 1 - Walkthrough Guide
Mint atBTC on NEAR
We’re excited to have you participate in our testnet! This guide will demonstrate how to stake tBTC on Bitcoin Testnet4 and receive atBTC on NEAR network. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask in our Telegram community.
Step 1: Download and Install UniSat Wallet
Visit https://unisat.io/
For desktop, install the UniSat Chrome extension
Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your wallet.
Step 2: Connect to Bitcoin Testnet4 (Beta)
Open your UniSat wallet.
Ensure your wallet is configured to connect to the “Bitcoin Testnet4 (Beta)” network. This is found in the network selection dropdown named “Bitcoin” within the wallet interface.
Step 3: Obtain tbTC from a Faucet
Navigate to one of the following faucets to claim testnet Bitcoin (tbTC):
Primary Faucet: https://faucet.testnet4.dev/
Backup Faucet: https://coinfaucet.eu/en/btc-testnet4/
Backup Faucet: https://mempool.space/testnet4/faucet (Select 500k sats option)
Enter your UniSat wallet’s Bitcoin Testnet4 address and follow the faucet’s instructions to receive tbTC.
Step 4: Go to the Atlas Protocol Testnet Application
Step 5: Connect your UniSat wallet
On the Atlas Protocol Testnet app, click either the “Connect to BTC testnet4 network” or the “Connect Wallet” button.
In the pop-up window that appears, click “Connect to BTC testnet4 network”.
A prompt will appear from your UniSat wallet. Click “Connect” to authorize the connection
Step 6: Initiate Staking
In the “Amount” field, enter the amount of tbTC you wish to stake (the minimum amount is 0.0002 tbTC).
Important, please make sure your wallet holds enough extra tBTC to cover gas fees, otherwise, you’ll encounter errors (example: if your wallet holds 0.0003 tBTC, you should only enter 0.0002 to leave enough room for gas fees).
Step 7: Select Receiving Chain
For this example, we’re going to select NEAR testnet
In the “Select Receiving Chain” dropdown menu, choose “NEAR testnet”.

Step 8: Set up a NEAR wallet (using Meteor)
To receive atBTC on NEAR, you’ll need a NEAR testnet wallet. We’ll use Meteor Wallet for this guide.
Click the “MAIN” button in the top-right corner and select “Testnet” from the dropdown.
Claim your identity (use the generated address or create a custom one).
Click “Create Wallet” and follow the instructions.
Once your wallet is created, copy your NEAR testnet address (e.g., Atlas1234.testnet).
✅ DO -> username.testnet
🚫 DON’T -> username.near
Step 9: Enter Receiving Address and Stake
Enter your NEAR wallet .testnet address in the “Enter Receiving Address” field and select the “Review” button.
In the pop-up window, click “Stake”

Sign the transaction in your UniSat wallet pop-up.
Step 10: Verify your atBTC
Once you see the success message, the transaction may take some time to process.
Important: Transactions can take 1–2 hours to confirm due to Bitcoin Testnet4 block times. You can check the ETA by clicking the “View on Block Explorer” link in the success pop-up window.
Confirm your atBTC:
Check your Meteor wallet
On the NEAR testnet blockchain: https://testnet.nearblocks.io/
✅ Confirmation: You will see “atBTC Minted” under Staking History in the dashboard.
